Senior Manager Manufacturing

Our client, a reputable manufacturer, seeks a seasoned leader to fill the role of Senior Manager of Manufacturing. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will oversee daily operations in production departments, ensuring the safe execution of activities while maintaining quality and consistency of product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily operation activities in production departments, ensuring the safe execution of activities while maintaining quality and consistency of product.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and general business activities of the site.
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution of manufacturing, production, and packaging activities, including accountability for the delivery of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement objectives.
  • Recognize and correct unsafe conditions and practices to prevent injuries.
  • Identify measures of performance and actions required to achieve organizational goals and objectives, as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent business relationships with key support groups, including Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Health Safety & Environment, Finance, Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Partner with the Director, Operations and cross-functional stakeholders in the development of strategic plans, including workforce and capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all external vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including effective investigations, validation protocols, change controls, and SOP/process updates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related industry.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within manufacturing or a relevant industry, including food, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Previous experience managing large teams of 100+ employees and successfully coaching and mentoring teams to succeed.
  • Ability to engage and excite diverse teams to identify common goals, drive consensus, and manage conflict.
  • Exceptional change management skills, adopting and implementing tools and programs.
  • Experience with Lean methodology or other continuous improvement tools is an asset.
