Job Title: Senior Bodily Injury Examiner
Job Summary:
The Senior Bodily Injury Examiner is a critical role within the OTIP Group of Companies, responsible for investigating, quantifying, and settling complex property and casualty claims. This position requires a high level of expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze complex claims to determine liability and quantum
- Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to achieve optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, brokers, and claims adjusters, to ensure seamless claim handling
- Provide exceptional customer service to insured members, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, case law, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, experts, and service providers to ensure efficient and effective claim handling
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education and/or college diploma in a related field
- CIP designation and/or adjuster's license
- 7-10 years of experience in casualty claims handling, including litigation file management
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including medical rehabilitation concepts and case law
- Excellent investigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Superior communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
