Job Summary

The Senior Bodily Injury Examiner is a key role within the OTIP Group of Companies, responsible for investigating, quantifying, and settling complex property and casualty claims. This position requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze complex claims to determine liability and quantum
  • Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to control indemnity, spend, and expenses
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient claims resolution
  • Communicate with insured members to provide updates and resolve inquiries
  • Conduct thorough investigations of coverage, liability, and quantum to ensure accurate claims assessment
  • Ensure compliance with organizational service standards, operational targets, and core competencies
  • Represent the company in meetings, court hearings, and other forums to resolve claims

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and/or college diploma in a related field
  • CIP designation and ability to hold an adjuster's license
  • 7-10 years of experience in casualty claims handling, including litigation file management
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty industry, including medical rehabilitation concepts and case law
  • Excellent investigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Superior organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and project manage
  • Current Microsoft Office working knowledge and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
