Business and Quality Assurance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business and Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team at Tangerine Bank. As a key member of our Global Fraud Authentications Technology team, you will play a critical role in developing and managing innovative products designed to support the ever-changing threat landscape.
As a Business and Quality Assurance Analyst, you will work closely with our Fraud Authentications Business and key Technology Partners throughout the organization to drive global technology delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Collaborative Solution Discovery Sessions: Use lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping to facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions.
- Decompose Solutions into Small Increments of Value: Decompose the solution into small increments of value (stories) that can be independently built and validated.
- Work with Architects and Engineers: Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure a flow of stories are specified, engineered, and validated.
- Facilitate Collaborative Sessions: Facilitate collaborative sessions with teams to detail acceptance criteria on stories using practices such as specification by example.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis: Facilitate root cause analysis of defects with the team and ensure that they act as a catalyst for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to review and accept completed stories and features.
- Collaborate with Delivery Team: Collaborate with the delivery team to define the overall testing approach and perform acceptance testing to validate business requirements in rapid iterations.
- Perform Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory testing and regression testing as necessary, using a risk-based approach.
- Design Automation Testing Strategies: Design and develop the automation testing strategies.
- Extend Story Specifications: Extend story specifications to align with automation testing strategies while including real-world data, edge cases, etc.
- University/College Degree: University/college degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and drive solutions with a small working team.
- Decision Making: Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills.
- Business Process Re-engineering: Experience in business process re-engineering.
- IT Fluency: IT fluency.
- Team Player: Strong team player with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Agile Environment: Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
- Banking/Financial Industry Experience: Experience in the Banking/Financial industry is a plus.
