Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at St. Boniface Hospital. As a key member of our Program Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe preparation of medical devices for surgical and Endoscopy procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare case carts for surgical procedures, including assembling and restocking instruments and equipment.
- Process and sterilize medical devices, including scopes and equipment.
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Perform cleaning duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Transport supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- 6 months of related experience in a medical device reprocessing environment.
- Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
- Successful completion of a regionally recognized Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program and MDR practicum.
- Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and move equipment.
- Ability to interact well with others.
- Ability to retain confidential information.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to stressful situations.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist, and reach constantly throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment/trays weighing up to 40lbs/18kgs.
- Ability to maneuver and push/pull loaded carts.
