St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, sterilization, and storage of reusable patient care supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Disassemble, clean, and prepare reusable patient care supplies and equipment for sterilization
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Conduct inventory control functions to ensure accurate tracking and management of supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
- Grade XII or recognized equivalent
- Successful completion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to interact well with others and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist, and reach constantly throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to approximately 20lbs/9kgs
- Ability to maneuver and push/pull loaded carts
