**Job Summary**
The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, MDR-Main, plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care at St. Boniface Hospital. Under the supervision of the Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the preparation, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical equipment and supplies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Disassemble, clean, and prepare medical equipment for sterilization
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Store and manage medical supplies and equipment in a clean and organized manner
- Perform inventory control functions to ensure accurate tracking of medical supplies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
**Requirements**
- Grade XII or recognized equivalent
- Successful completion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
**Physical Demands**
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist, and reach constantly throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to approximately 20lbs/9kgs
- Ability to maneuver and push/pull loaded carts
