We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join our Construction division.
In the role of Site Supervisor, you will engage in meaningful work on construction initiatives that include industrial processes, energy generation, water and wastewater management, and environmental restoration. You will play a vital role in supporting the project team throughout all stages of project execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Occasionally assisting in proposals and business development efforts.
- Providing support in the preparation of essential documentation such as material lists, databases, testing plans, schedules, and related contractual documents.
- Overseeing and managing daily field operations.
- Ensuring site safety and security, and developing site policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of projects and maintaining systems and equipment.
- Supervising and directing staff, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
- Maintaining daily records and logs in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Assisting in the procurement process, including scope development, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Coordinating and communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
- Participating in onsite meetings, including preparing agendas and taking meeting notes.
- Inspecting fieldwork to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Coordinating and supporting onsite logistics.
- Traveling to remote project locations as necessary.
- Assisting in the preparation of closeout documentation and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- A degree or diploma in construction/civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with 3 to 10 years of experience in construction site supervision, or a comparable combination of technical training and industry experience.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Act.
- Experience in the construction or design of energy generation projects is advantageous.
- Self-driven with a strong eagerness to learn and lead.
- Highly organized, capable of multitasking and managing various projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and achieve objectives.
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites.
- Possession of a G class driver's license.
