Old Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jobber Full time
Are you enthusiastic about strategic alliances and skilled in crafting innovative software solutions to enhance business performance?

Jobber could be the ideal environment for you. We are in search of a Lead Product Manager - Channel Collaborations to join our Partnerships & Platform division.

Jobber is dedicated to empowering small enterprises to thrive. We collaborate with small service-oriented businesses, such as local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to revolutionize service delivery through technology. With Jobber, these businesses can estimate, schedule, bill, and receive payments from their clients while ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience. The landscape of small business operations is evolving rapidly—technology is advancing, and customer expectations are rising. This is why we provide the tools and flexibility for them to manage their operations in a manner that suits their needs.

Our culture, characterized by transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation, has earned accolades from Great Place to Work, Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and others. Jobber has also been recognized on the Globe and Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing Companies, as well as Deloitte Canada's Technology Fast 50, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500 lists. With an executive team boasting over thirty years of industry expertise, we have made significant strides since our inception in 2011, yet we have only begun to tap into our potential for our clients.

The Team:

The channel partner ecosystem is a crucial and rapidly expanding component of Jobber's core strategy, facilitating growth beyond our direct operations. We are developing state-of-the-art products that cater to a diverse array of partner experiences within Jobber, including Franchise Groups, Dealers/Manufacturers/Suppliers, and Telecommunications firms. We collaborate closely with the Partnerships team, external partners, and various departments within Jobber to expand and enhance our channel partner portfolio.

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, Platform & Partnerships, as a Lead Product Manager, you will outline the product roadmap and strategy for offerings and platforms that support and expand a diverse range of channel partners. You will work in tandem with the partnerships team and external partner groups to gain a comprehensive understanding of their operational requirements and translate those insights into product concepts. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, marketers, and data analysts to bring these products to fruition and accelerate channel partner growth.

As a Lead Product Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a profound understanding of our clientele: partner groups comprising home service businesses (such as plumbing firms, landscaping services, electricians, cleaning services, etc.) across various industries, locations, and sizes.
  • Driving intricate, business-critical channel product initiatives. Establishing a vision, strategy, and roadmap that empowers a diverse portfolio of channel partners.
  • Prioritizing opportunities into a cohesive product roadmap that aligns customer and partner needs with Jobber's business objectives and competitive landscape.
  • Synthesizing insights across channel categories into unified product investments.
  • Balancing immediate wins with long-term strategic initiatives that span multiple channel categories.
  • Collaborating closely with other departments across the organization (e.g., Partnerships, Sales, Success, Product Marketing, and more) to launch and scale innovative ideas.
  • Defining and monitoring key product metrics across discovery, adoption, revenue, churn, and engagement to assess the success of your initiatives, intervening when necessary to align with business goals.
  • Engaging and nurturing relationships with product partners to influence shared cross-team directions and manage risks or trade-offs. Communicating effectively with leadership stakeholders and fostering alignment across multiple teams.

As a Lead Product Manager, you will embody the following qualities:

  • Resourceful and adaptable, willing to take on various roles to support your team.
  • An exceptional communicator, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Inherently collaborative and empathetic, comfortable working with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organization and ensuring every voice is acknowledged.
  • Passionate about building across teams and navigating complex areas.
  • Curious and inquisitive, frequently asking "why?" to deepen understanding.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally with a focus on partnerships or developing scalable solutions beyond small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Experience owning a complete product or significant portions of an offering, with a comfort level in engaging cross-functional teams.
  • A proven track record of influencing company-wide strategy and collaborating with business leaders to implement transformative initiatives.
  • The ability to distill complex problems from a diverse set of user groups into a cohesive product strategy and direction.
