Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crop Production Manager to oversee daily operations for multiple cultivation facilities, ensuring the highest standards of crop care and production. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating policies and procedures, supervising a cultivation team, and driving business growth through innovative practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to greenhouse personnel on crop maintenance and care.
  • Develop and implement new production plans to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage daily crop care efforts to optimize production and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to forecast production and drive business growth.
  • Implement and maintain post-harvest activities, ensuring high-quality produce.
  • Monitor and control pest pressure using integrated pest management techniques.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Officer to implement and maintain the Track and Trace program.
  • Ensure adherence to Work Safe Practices and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Schedule manufacturing duties for all stages of growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., agriculture, horticulture, or a related field).
  • Three years of experience in a related agricultural field, with a strong background in crop production and management.

Working Conditions

  • Greenhouse environment with controlled temperature and background noise.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Travel required between different greenhouse locations.

Compensation

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of $22-$25 CAD, commensurate with experience.
