About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Canvas Construction Group. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding and other equipment.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, and other structures.
  • Supporting Crew Members: Provide assistance to other crew members as needed, including helping with tasks such as framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend to and feed machines and equipment used in construction, and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy loads, as well as work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
