Intergovernmental Relations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intergovernmental Relations Director to join our team at Treaty One Nations Inc.
Job Summary:The Intergovernmental Relations Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations to advance the interests of Treaty One Nations Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations
- Provide advice and guidance to senior management on intergovernmental relations and policy matters
- Represent Treaty One Nations Inc. at government meetings, conferences, and other events
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and programs that support the interests of Treaty One Nations Inc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Participate in government and community programs or initiatives that support Indigenous people
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations to advance the interests of Treaty One Nations Inc.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations
- 80 hours bi-weekly
- Temporary position
- English language
