About the Role

Rally Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading technical teams to deliver high-quality project results within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Execution
  • Plan: Develop and implement discipline quality plans to ensure project deliverables are met. Attend meetings to discuss project requirements and provide summaries of project deliverables.
  • Change Management: Monitor and review project scope, schedule, discipline budget, and quality resources. Complete Key Decision Records (KDR) or Engineering Work Requests (EWR) as required and provide to the Project Manager for Management of Change (MOC) initiation.
  • Supervise: Work of discipline engineers/designers to ensure technical integrity and designs meet company and client standards/specifications. Provide performance feedback to Department Head and review and approve discipline project timesheets weekly.
  • Design Review and Approval: Maintain continuous contact with direct reports and review/approve completed work. Identify unusual or complex design problems and provide guidance on design solutions.
  • Document Issuance: Complete required forms and submit to TDC for issuance of project documents.
  • Reports: Utilize Time-Track to progress project deliverables and obtain reports. Prepare Discipline Lead Progress Report.
  • Close-Out: Work with TDC to prepare close-out report and submit to Project Manager for final signature and return to TDC.
Business Development
  • Define Scope of Work – develop discipline-specific project requirements and identify/confirm standards and specifications used.
  • Plan and Prepare Schedule – develop schedule per department and project requirements.
  • Resource Planning – identify required resources and coordinate with Department Head to obtain approval.
Proposal Development
  • Define scope of work – develop discipline-specific project requirements and identify/confirm standards and specifications used.
  • Prepare man-hour estimate and project deliverable list and review with Department Head.
Fiscal Responsibility
  • Track and ensure adherence to approved project hours or assigned chargeable hours.
  • Prepare MOC if approved hours not met; identify issue/concern and provide recommendation for resolution/correction.
Requirements
  1. Engineering: minimum four (4) year Engineering Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and registration with governing provincial body (engineering stamp required).
  2. Design: Diploma from a recognized 2-year Technology Program; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered.
  3. 5+ years of practical experience.
