About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive the development of our software platform. As an Engineering Manager at Wave, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to build high-quality systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers responsible for powering Wave's software platform and public and internal APIs.
  • Responsible for the team's prioritization and planning, and ultimately its pace and quality of software delivery.
  • Manage an agile process that determines the team's priorities and task list.
  • Work with the team's engineers and outside stakeholders to decide the technical strategy for the team to deliver on its goals.
  • Communicate timelines and plans to senior leadership and work to adjust these in accordance with business needs.
  • Lead project scoping, planning, and sequencing of execution.
  • Set standards and lead by example in showing how to deliver quality at a pace.
  • Help drive continuous improvement across the team.
  • Responsible for the performance and growth of their team members.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in professional engineering experience.
  • 1+ year of experience as an Engineering team lead or manager.
  • Experience working on internal platform-style teams.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience supporting production systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading technical projects from inception to delivery.
