About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineering Technician to join our team at Grounded Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our engineers in developing engineering specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations to gather data and information.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, utilizing your analytical skills to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings, working closely with our design team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop project schedules, coordinating with our project management team to ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations, leveraging your expertise to drive informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
