Job Title: Senior Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer to join our team at Altair Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to our clients in the aerospace industry.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be reporting to the Technical Manager/Team Leader and will be responsible for working closely with our Account Managers throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical content to customers, including presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Establish long-term and sustainable relationships with assigned accounts, aligning Altair solutions with the client's key business initiatives.
  • Be viewed by the customer as their trusted advisor and point of contact for all technical activities.
  • Contribute to account-based marketing strategies, drive technology deployment and adoption, including partner solutions.
  • Use technical product knowledge to identify customer pain points, assess technical needs, and understand customer's current infrastructure and engineering workflows.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • UK passport.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an aerospace OEM or Tier 1 Aerospace Supplier.
  • Experience using commercial CAE tools within an engineering environment.
  • Experience using Altair HyperWorks, OptiStruct, RADIOSS, or other CAE simulation software involving real-world, industry-level applications.
