We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructor to join our PlayON team at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, play-based programming to children and youth, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging, recreation-based programming in Physical Education, Nutrition, and Wellness, aligned with the YMCA's mission and values.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, volunteers, and school personnel, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor the safety of all participants, both indoors and outdoors, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in scheduled shifts, staff meetings, and monthly training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Previous experience working with children and youth, or in a related program area, is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships.
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification is required.
- Flexibility regarding assigned work schedules, including weekday afternoons and monthly training sessions.
