About the Role:
As a Project Superintendent with Miller Paving South Western Ontario, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities on a daily basis. This includes leading productivity initiatives, monitoring work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors, and ensuring project plans and schedules are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement construction plans and manage subcontractor activities
- Ensure construction compliance with design requirements and quality standards
- Implement and maintain a safe work environment, adhering to safety and record-keeping requirements
- Document and report injuries, and advise management of potential problems or schedule difficulties
- Perform additional assignments as directed by superiors or required for successful project completion
Requirements:
- Construction-related degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience in road construction, fine grading, culvert installation, or related activities
- Effective leadership skills, ability to engage and manage crews, and advanced knowledge of construction disciplines and safety regulations
- Computer knowledge, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills
- Ability to work long hours, sometimes in rough weather conditions, and willingness to travel and live according to project location
