We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, employing trauma-informed care, harm reduction strategies, and principles of Indigenous Cultural safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate psychiatric needs
- Design and execute Integrated Treatment Plans informed by risk assessments
- Provide case management and advocacy to support community access
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions
- Facilitate connections to psychiatric and social support services
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of nursing principles and Forensic Psychiatric Nursing
- Familiarity with BCCNM professional standards and ethical guidelines
- Knowledge of community health resources and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Awareness of reconciliation efforts and related commitments
