Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telephone Line Technician to join our team at IntactX Inc. as a key member of our telecommunications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telephone equipment and cable signals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
    • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to restore service.
    • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by completing and maintaining test and service reports.
    • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Physical Demands
    • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access equipment.
    • Bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks in confined spaces.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
