Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telephone Line Technician to join our team at IntactX Inc. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telephone equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Network Testing: Test trunking systems, cable signals, and equipment to locate transmission faults and ensure optimal network performance.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, as well as defective telephone equipment.
  • Customer Support: Instruct apprentices and provide technical guidance to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Record Keeping: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to track work progress and identify areas for improvement.
Work Environment

As a Telephone Line Technician at IntactX Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and physical stamina. You will be expected to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and to bend, crouch, and kneel to access equipment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
