About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team at JAG N PAL INC. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain gas heating units and their components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Measure and mark reference points for the installation of gas lines and equipment, utilizing precision tools and techniques.
  • Install and maintain meters and regulators, as well as gas lines between gas units and gas meters, to ensure efficient and safe gas distribution.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for gas-related services, taking into account client requirements and project specifications.
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of installations and materials required, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms, check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices, and estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Requirements
  • Gas Fitter Trade Certification
  • Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B
  • Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 3 or C
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
  • Judgment and dependability, with a focus on client satisfaction and environmental responsibility
