BC Children's and Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a Clinical Education Leader to join our team. As a key member of our clinical education team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering excellence in clinical education.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical education programs and projects that contribute to the achievement of clinical area/program/Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with program leaders, staff, and stakeholders to assess program and cross-program clerical education needs and priorities.
- Design, implement, and evaluate learning programs, including teaching, facilitation, and simulation.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of assigned competency-based learning programs for orientation and continuing education of clerical staff.
- Engage with leadership, academic, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality specialty education design that is in alignment with provincial, PHSA, and Child Health BC priorities or needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other clinical profession.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience, including two (2) years of education experience.
- Strong communication, coaching, and program evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of learning and evaluation models, such as logic and Kirkpatrick.
- Superior organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience using electronic health records is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead staff to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and work under pressure of deadlines.
- Significant knowledge and proven experience with program development, evaluation, and program management.
- Commitment to develop knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments found in the foundational documents.
