Water Engineering Co-op Student

CIMA+ is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Engineering Co-op Student to join our team. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced engineers on various projects, including water treatment systems, water system planning, and asset management.
Responsibilities- Design and Production: Participate in the design and production of 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit for water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Technical Writing: Prepare sketches, renderings, technical figures, and calculations for engineering reports and presentations as required.
- Documentation: Document, track, and address design comments and drawing markups.
- Compliance: Verify compliance of drawings with appropriate standards, codes, and guidelines.
- Engineering Specifications: Participate in the preparation of engineering specifications, calculations, and permit applications.
- Facility Inspections: Assist in facility inspections.
- Water Modeling Analysis: Carry out water modeling analysis.
- Planning and Problem-Solving: Carry out planning or problem-solving for water systems.
- Design Support: Perform calculations in support of design.
- Technical Report Writing: Write technical reports.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare proposals.
- Research Assignments: Carry out research assignments as required.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to staff as required.
- Education: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite software, Project, Adobe, and Visio.
- Construction Drawings: Thorough understanding of construction drawings.
- Technical Report Writing: Technical report writing skills.
- Quantity and Cost Assessments: Experience carrying out quantity and cost assessments.
- Driver's License: Unrestricted Driver's License.
- Own Transportation: Own transportation required.
- Asset Management: Experience with Civil3D, Revit, Solidworks, or MicroStation (asset).
- Water or Wastewater Experience: Experience in water or wastewater (asset).
- Electrical or Controls CAD: Experience with electrical or controls CAD (asset).
- Water Modeling Software: Previous experience with InfoWater by Innovyze or similar (asset).
The expected salary for this position ranges from $22.50 to $28.00 per hour, depending on your academic program, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
