We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our Facilities Department in a temporary full-time role as a Coordinator of Maintenance.

Position Overview
In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the District's building assets. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with contractors and internal teams to implement various maintenance programs, such as heating, air conditioning, janitorial services, plumbing, electrical systems, access control, fire safety, and other equipment related to District-owned properties.

You will conduct technical inspections of buildings and sites, respond to service requests and after-hours emergencies, address occupant concerns, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance. Key tasks will involve liaising with external contractors and internal departments to establish and uphold a preventative maintenance schedule, as well as coordinating minor renovations and alterations. Additionally, you will assist in preparing cost estimates and managing expenditures related to building maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Extensive knowledge of building maintenance methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and perform minor repairs on various building systems.
  • Familiarity with building security, access control, video monitoring, and automation systems.
  • Experience with HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of preparing specifications for maintenance work and some experience in estimating and contract preparation.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and maintain accurate reports and records.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
