POSITION SUMMARY

CB Canada is currently seeking a Seasonal Yard Associate.
The Seasonal Yard Associate will be responsible for filling 100lb propane tanks, ensuring proper labeling and current inspections, reporting tank volumes and bottle counts, moving tanks from storage to loading docks, and assisting with loading and unloading operations. Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintaining cleanliness of dock areas, ensuring they are free from snow and debris
- Working outdoors
- Assisting with various yard tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Familiarity with common construction and industrial tools is advantageous
• Some experience or training in mechanical equipment repair is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
• Effective communication skills with customers (both written and verbal)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• General mechanical aptitude
• Strong focus on safety
The physical demands of this position include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 100 pounds or more, with the requirement to work both indoors and outdoors as necessary. Related experience may include roles such as Porter, Hostler, Yard Hand, Yard Jockey, Yard Spotter, Entry Level Mechanic, Mechanic Trainee, Construction Laborer, Washbay Attendant, Equipment Washer, Forklift Driver, or Warehouse Worker.
