Position: Controls Engineer
In the role of Controls Engineer at ABI Auto-Bake Industries Ltd., you will play a pivotal part in the design and execution of analog circuitry, systems, and algorithms. Collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager, your focus will be on developing solutions that drive efficiency and productivity in bakery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine documentation and contractual agreements
- Design and program PLCs and automation components
- Generate engineering documentation
- Investigate and implement new technologies
- Offer customer support for equipment
- Travel for onsite commissioning and customer training
- Remain informed about industry trends and technological advancements
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in control system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and robotic programming
- Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Openness to learning and adapting to new technologies
- Willingness to travel both locally and internationally
