Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at ABI LTD. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of industrial baking machinery.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for creating 3D designs to meet customer requirements, while ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards. You will contribute to preliminary design with conceptual ideas and principles, develop final solutions for various equipment, and ensure designs comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for industrial baking equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Conduct site visits for installations, repairs, and maintenance, and provide technical support as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and automation
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • Engineering Technician degree or higher
  • Experience in 3D parametric modeling and 2D drawing
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and MS Office
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience leading others and providing coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Independent and collaborative work ethic
  • Strong creativity and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
