About the Opportunity

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising the operation of community-based mental and addiction services programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering mental health and addiction assessment, treatment, and disposition planning to clients and their families. You will ensure the provision of comprehensive services to this target population and foster collaboration with local inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and agencies.

The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team, including ongoing and extensive clinical supervision to new clinicians and those with limited experience in this specialty. About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, or a Clinical Therapist from an acceptable educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and addiction intervention, with a minimum of five years of experience in this field. You will be licensed with the applicable body (NSCSW, NSBEP, or NSCOT) and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, or a Clinical Therapist from an acceptable educational institution
  • Licensed with the applicable body (NSCSW, NSBEP, or NSCOT)
  • Five years' experience in mental health and addiction intervention
  • Provides evidence-based therapeutic intervention to mental health and addiction clients
  • Ensures all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Identifies areas for service improvement and facilitates and evaluates quality initiatives
  • Drafts Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials, and other guidelines for care
  • Provides clinical leadership and supervision to the multi-disciplinary team and ongoing and extensive clinical oversight to new clinicians and clinicians with limited experience in this specialty
  • Facilitates internal referrals
  • Nonviolent crisis intervention
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 15 months, dates are approximate and subject to change
  • Travel to various sites may be required
Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of $51.72. In addition, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
