About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Amico Corporation. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Receiving: Determine the best method of shipment and prepare shipping documents, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Source new shipping companies, negotiate pricing and delivery times, and continuously improve packing methods to minimize damage and ensure product quality.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with the Production and Shipping Team to schedule daily deliveries and customer pickups, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, and record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Carrier Management: Resolve carrier issues and respond quickly to customer delivery expectations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain internal record-keeping systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and customer interactions.
  • Problem-Solving: React quickly to changing circumstances to ensure delivery to customers, involving all key internal and external contacts.
Requirements
  • Education: Educational background in supply chain management or operations management studies is an asset.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of shipping or related experience is required.
  • Skills: Knowledge of customs/FDA and international shipping, excellent communication skills, self-motivation, proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook), ability to multitask, and ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Certifications: Forklift License is an asset.
