Software Developer, Precision Health Application Framework Specialist

About the Role

As a member of the Precision Health Platform engineering organization at Verily, you will play a key role in building and maintaining modular, composable, and interoperable platform components. Specifically, you will work with the Precision Health Application Framework team to build micro frontends used across Verily products, systems for supporting microfrontend development and deployments, and own the front end development experience at Verily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deliver new software features across the Verily tech stack.
  • Develop innovative solutions to technical design problems, comparing options and proposing effective solutions.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Typescript, React, Docker, and Terraform to develop software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer in an industry setting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the development team.
  • Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred).
  • Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents.
  • Familiarity with and the javascript ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise with Typescript.
  • Prior experience with bundlers (webpack/rollup/esbuild).
  • Experience with package management tooling (Bit, Nx, etc) and working in a monorepo.
  • Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHI.
