Software Development Manager, Precision Health Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to join our team at Verily, a leading healthcare technology company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our precision health platform, driving innovation, and fostering collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead a team of 8-10 software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
- Project Planning and Execution: Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Culture of Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence, encouraging experimentation and learning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute on the team's strategic goals, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet project milestones, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, with a strong background in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Leadership Experience: 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 15 software engineers.
- Education: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, experience with Agile development methodologies, cloud computing platforms, and continuous integration and delivery.
