Your Role as Finance and Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance and Payroll Specialist to join our administrative team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions, including payment posting and account reconciliation.
  • Manage deposits and issue donation receipts.
  • Perform reconciliations for banking records and government funding arrangements.
  • Support budgeting and financial statement preparation.
  • Handle government compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Aid in income tax return preparation.
  • Assist in payroll processing to ensure timely and precise employee payments.
  • Maintain payroll records and address employee queries related to compensation and benefits.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to organizational protocols.
  • Support other accounting and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Skilled in bookkeeping with keen attention to detail.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or payroll administration preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and anticipating challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time management proficiencies.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
  • Must have Canadian landed immigrant or legal work status.
  • Standard prerequisites (background check, medical clearance).
