About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic sales professional to join our team at Richelieu Hardware as a Sales Representative. This is a permanent position based in the Ontario region.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing sales in the Ontario region, with potential for advancement into management. This role requires a strong understanding of our hardware offerings and the ability to present solutions to customers' requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our hardware products to effectively represent Richelieu Hardware and provide solutions to customers.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and prospective customers to support and grow current and future business.
- Interact with customers promptly and effectively, utilizing exceptional listening skills to resolve inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Identify areas for business development throughout local markets and devise new sales tactics to increase profit margins and improve the customer experience.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity, providing insights to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare clear quotes and follow up with customers after submission.
- Achieve and surpass sales goals and objectives.
- Travel regularly to visit customers and attend industry events.
- Participate in industry, vendor, and internal sales training to stay up-to-date on industry information and new product announcements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a similar sales role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Customer-focused, disciplined, resilient, motivated, and self-starter with a commitment to quality of service and a desire to succeed.
- Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques, with a good aptitude for analyzing issues and proposing solutions.
- Demonstrable technical selling skills and product knowledge to make recommendations to customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to source information, obtain approvals, and create lasting business relationships.
- Innovative in delivering client-focused solutions.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
