Job Title: Lawyer in Real Estate

The City of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team as a Lawyer in Real Estate. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert advice and representation to the City in matters related to real estate, municipal law, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the City in real estate matters, including property transactions, zoning, and land use planning.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of municipal law policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on changes in municipal law and real estate regulations.
Requirements:
  • Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in municipal law and real estate.
  • Advanced proficiency in French is an asset.
