Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Department Supervisor to join our team at Senioren-Residenz Bertram GmbH. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation department, providing leadership, and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Maintain and manage inventory supplies to ensure adequate inventories are maintained at all times. Manage route scheduling to ensure all scheduled customers are serviced by the end of the day.
  • Route Management: Manage driver debrief process for every route. Ensure documentation (manifest, PDT receipt, etc.) for every customer transaction. Update route comments as required.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop relationships with customers and establish contacts that are comfortable providing accurate service feedback. Conduct customer visits to review service.
  • Operations Management: Monitor operations and staff, and recommend changes in methods, procedures, structure, and additions or changes in personnel to secure optimum utilization of resources.
  • Team Development: Select, train, and develop an effective and efficient staff. Establish and communicate performance standards and objectives; conduct performance appraisals.
  • Compliance: Track and input DOT hours/JJ Keller. Administer Company policies and procedures, communicate to staff, interpret, as necessary, and ensure compliance and safety.
Requirements
  • High School education
  • 2-4 years of experience in transportation or logistics
  • 0-2 years of management experience preferred
