We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Consultant to join our team at Reinsurance Group of America Inc. As a Reinsurance Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting various consulting client projects and working closely with senior consultants and other team members to ensure high-quality delivery of services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management: Plan, organize, and execute assigned business projects on behalf of clients and according to client requirements and business best practices.
- Client Relationship Building: Identify and meet with key stakeholders and SMEs when needed to perform initial and ongoing assessments to establish project risks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Data Analysis: Collect information about the client's business through various methods, including shadowing, interviews, surveys, and reading reports.
- Reinsurance Expertise: Understand project management principles, reinsurance data, processes, and controls, including retention management practices, treaty setup, interpretation, and compliance.
- Communication: Clearly articulate the benefits and technology related to TAI, present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice, and provide guidance for any occurring problems and issues.
- Education and Experience: College or university degree or equivalent work experience, FLMI, ACS, or ARA designation from LOMA or working to achieve, 5+ years of overall insurance experience, and 2+ years of experience in a senior life insurance or reinsurance role.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of processes and issues impacting direct writers, reinsurers, and retrocessionaires, proven understanding of reinsurance administration and North American products, and ability to independently manage competing deadlines and multiple client priorities.
