Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer, Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team as a Vice President. As a key member of our AWS Platform engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of best-in-class AWS infrastructure to support State Street's security, governance, and workload requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust and automated solutions for operating cloud resources at scale.
  • Develop scripts to automate deployment and management.
  • Drive identity and access, configuration management, and monitoring strategy for AWS.
  • Support operational activity to ensure quality and timely delivery of service to cloud tenants.
  • Partner with the enterprise network team to ensure our cloud to on-premise networks are resilient and high performing.
Requirements:
  • Solid working experience on AWS IaaS for enterprise enablement.
  • Automation-focused and engineering mindset.
  • Network engineering skills.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • ~5+ years of IT experience in a hands-on role with 3+ years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments.
  • ~Understanding of Agile delivery process is required.
  • ~Experience in developing business applications in Java/J2EE, CI/CD, SDLC tools/processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Appropriate certifications are strongly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of core infrastructure concepts as well as data and/or DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability.
  • AWS PaaS Services: AWS Kubernetes Service, Event Hub, etc.
  • Data Platform and Big Data: SQL Server, AWS SQL DB, AWS Stream Analytics, AWS Data Factory/Data Bricks.
