About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at The Institute for Performance and Learning. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in aligning our company's objectives with those of our employees and management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic partnerships in our business units, providing operational advice and support, and overseeing the delivery of HR services such as talent management, performance management, engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and change management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leaders to develop and implement HR action plans, programs, and projects that support our business units' strategic objectives.
  • Provide coaching and recommendations to leaders on HR topics to optimize employee engagement, retention, team development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assess impacts, develop change management strategies, and support leaders with the implementation and communication of these plans.
  • Support management teams with HR programs, policies, and procedures, compensation, training, employee relations, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Participate in the transformation of our organization through various continuous improvement projects.
  • Roll out corporate programs and initiatives within our client groups.
  • Support leaders through critical HR operational cycles such as talent reviews, salary planning, and performance management.
  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring early and appropriate solutions.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees and leaders, providing ongoing HR support.
  • Collaborate and maintain productive relationships with global internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Lead and participate in HR initiatives and projects.
  • Act as a coach for more junior HRBPs and be a sounding board for Human Resources Center of Excellence colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or business, with certification from a recognized Human Resources professional association an asset.
  • At least eight years of experience as a Human Resource Business Partner role, preferably in a global or international multi-sites organization.
  • Strategic-thinking, able to identify solutions and associated impacts across the organization.
  • Experience developing and implementing a change management plan to support cultural transformation.
  • Related experience using common HRIS and reporting tools, MS suite applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks while staying focused on deliverables and strategic priorities.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethics.
  • Proven leadership and team building skills, with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) to manage all interactions and relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
