Aircraft Completion Project Manager

Airbus Helicopters Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Completion Project Manager to join our Programs Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing aircraft completion projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Conduct contract review meetings to confirm project scope, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage project changes, updates, and revisions, and ensure timely implementation
  • Monitor and control project costs, and ensure adherence to budget
  • Evaluate and challenge productivity targets and results

Customer Management:

  • Guide customers through the aircraft acquisition and completion process, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience
  • Focus on customer satisfaction, and ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded
  • Make the customer feel welcome by listening and understanding their needs
  • Educate and advise customers on aircraft completion processes and procedures
  • Lead difficult and sensitive situations with finesse, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty

Scheduling and Planning:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines
  • Monitor project progress, and identify and mitigate potential risks and delays
  • Provide inputs to the department's production schedule and workload planning
  • Make schedule adjustments based on changing project requirements, and ensure timely implementation

Project Budgeting and Project Control:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to budget and cost control
  • Verify inputs from functional departments, and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Check overall validity of budget inputs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Adjust budget based on change orders, and ensure timely implementation
  • Track Cost Performance Indicator (CPI), and ensure adherence to budget

Education & Job Requirements:

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • Project/Program Management Certification
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace project management, including aircraft completions, maintenance, and repair, or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in Transport Canada regulations
  • Financial experience for budgeting purposes
  • Technical experience to comprehend technical data packages

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Proactive in identifying risks & appropriate mitigations
  • Able to take initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
