Project Manager

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in the development of national and international standards associated with natural resources. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of standards that promote sustainability and innovation in the natural resources sector.
Key Responsibilities- Committee Management: Oversee the management of multiple national and international natural resources standards development committees, including facilitation, problem-solving, communication, member recruitment, and preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
- Project Leadership: Provide ongoing project management leadership in conjunction with the Chair and Vice-Chair, ensuring that projects are completed on-time and within budget.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within or related to natural resources issues, primarily associated with sustainability or innovation.
- Resource Management: Determine and manage the resources required to complete a project, ensuring deliverables are achieved on-time and within budget.
- Community Engagement: Support Communities of Interest by promoting involvement and stimulating conversations amongst members and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Technologist or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years' experience in a sustainability or natural resources related field.
- Strong market segment knowledge, including government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
- Experience leading or working with multi-stakeholder committees or groups.
- Experience in business development, writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.
- Standards development experience or a history of working with standards is an asset.
- Designation as a Certified Project Management Professional, or equivalent designation/experience is an asset.
- Research and analytical skills.
- High degree of self-motivation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in business development and writing proposals.
- Competency with major Microsoft and Project Management software.
- Demonstrated experience managing the activities of others.
Bilingualism would be a definite asset. Applicants with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
