Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer, Landscape to assist with various landscape maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and operating and maintaining landscape maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns
  • Rake and collect refuse
  • Remove litter and garbage
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Repair and maintain equipment
  • Write daily basic progress reports
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, forklifts, front-end loaders, gravel or dump trucks, pick-up trucks, roto-tillers, small engine equipment, sod cutters, tractors, tractor mowers, and weed trimmers/edgers
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
