About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on carpentry techniques.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, factories, and residential areas. You will be exposed to heights, confined spaces, noise, and dust.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work long hours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to estimate costs and materials accurately.
