About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the construction of our projects is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and layout building materials in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of our buildings.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in carpentry.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure the efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Meet tight deadlines and manage a large workload.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 30 to 44 hours per week of work, with opportunities for overtime.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
