About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Buca Vaughan. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, leading a team of cooks, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
