Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at GROW MORE IT SOLUTIONS INC. This role involves the installation and maintenance of cable television systems in various environments.

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program of 1 to 2 years
  • Equivalent experience may be considered

Work Setting
  • Installation and maintenance in urban and rural areas
  • On-site customer service
  • Telecommunications and cable television sectors
  • Repair and testing of equipment
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
  • Conduct tests to identify transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems and circuits
  • Guide apprentices in their tasks
  • Complete and maintain service reports
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Climb and work on poles and ladders
  • Connect and relocate cable outlets
  • Manage work assignments effectively
  • Install cable modems and software for Internet access
  • Repair and maintain transmission systems
  • Splice and connect wires as needed
  • Replace defective telephone equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
  • Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads
  • Perform repetitive tasks and distinguish between colors
Tools and Equipment
  • Must have steel-toed safety boots
  • Safety glasses or goggles are required
