Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at GROW MORE IT SOLUTIONS INC. This position involves working in various environments, including urban and rural settings, to install and maintain cable television systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a college diploma or equivalent experience in a related field. A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

As a Cable Installation Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining aerial and underground telecommunications equipment
  • Testing equipment to identify transmission issues
  • Setting up trunking systems, circuits, and associated equipment
  • Training apprentices in installation techniques
  • Completing and maintaining service and test reports
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Climbing and working on poles, ladders, or other structures
  • Connecting, disconnecting, and relocating cable outlets
  • Installing cable modems and software for Internet access
  • Repairing or replacing faulty cables and equipment
