Job Title: Mountain Expedition Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mountain Expedition Leader to join our team at Northern Escape Heli Skiing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading groups of guests on outdoor adventures in the mountains.

Job Summary:

The Mountain Expedition Leader will be responsible for:

  • Leading groups of guests on outdoor adventures, including hiking, skiing, and snowboarding
  • Providing instruction and guidance on wilderness survival skills, including first aid and emergency response
  • Operating off-road vehicles and other equipment as required
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are in place
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, such as outdoor guiding or wilderness first aid
  • Advanced wilderness first aid certification and level 2 avalanche training
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in emergency situations
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate off-road vehicles
