Position Purpose: The role of a BIM Coordinator is integral to our in-house design and operations teams, facilitating the construction process for new projects.
Reporting Structure:The BIM Coordinator will report directly to the BIM Manager.
What We Provide:- Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 CND, depending on experience.

- Interpret and analyze technical drawings and plans.
- Collaborate effectively with architects and engineers throughout project phases.
- Assess and determine appropriate elements and scales for building designs.
- Review project scope in accordance with mechanical specifications, drawings, and BIM execution plans.
- Collect and integrate approved equipment shop drawings, ensuring compliance with project management standards.
- Participate in trade coordination, design, fabrication, and site meetings for assigned projects.
- Model various piping systems, including domestic, hydronic, drainage, and fire protection, utilizing consultant models and drawings.
- Plan and coordinate the placement of sleeves prior to concrete pours.
- Generate detailed drawings for each floor layout, encompassing sleeving, equipment, piping, and access points for site evaluation and installation.
- Create spool drawings for construction implementation.
- AScT certification is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Creative and artistic capabilities.
- Experience with 3D/BIM 360/Revit in plumbing and HVAC modeling.
- Knowledge in canning, spooling, piping layout, and hangers.
- Practical plumbing and mechanical experience in field reviews.
- Ability to manage site-related construction correspondence, including RFI responses and site instruction issuance.
- Experience in developing energy modeling inputs and strategies.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective time-management skills and the capacity to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for plumbing and mechanical design.
- Adept at reading architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project timelines.
