Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Store Director, the Assistant Store Director of Operations plays a crucial role in executing operational strategies within the store. This position is accountable for ensuring that back-of-house operations are efficient and aligned with overall business objectives. The Assistant Store Director will mentor and guide their team to meet productivity goals established by labor standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales, controllable profit, EBITDA, payroll management, and P&L performance.
- Oversee the planning, timelines, budget, and communication of all necessary operational processes.
- Organize the stockroom, including merchandise setup, equipment, supplies, and technology.
- Manage all inbound and outbound freight flow, ensuring inventory integrity through effective dock-to-floor processes and exception report maintenance.
- Address maintenance and repair issues related to store facilities.
- Develop and retain team members, preparing them for increased responsibilities and fostering a pipeline of internal talent for critical roles.
- Support training initiatives for new company programs, procedures, and technologies.
- Consistently model and coach behaviors that exceed key performance indicators.
Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:
- College Associate diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of management experience in a comparable environment with a proven track record of success.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated sales performance and results-oriented approach.
- Strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Thorough understanding of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.
- Ability to respond promptly in routine situations and develop effective action plans.
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as radios, POS systems, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
The compensation for this role is expected to range between 55,000 CAD and 65,000 CAD annually, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include various benefits, including medical, financial, and paid time off options, depending on the position offered.
